Bind a macro in a minute

  1. Type /macro while out of combat.
  2. Pick the tab with your druid's name so the macro stays on this character.
  3. Click New, type the short name shown on the card, and pick the red question-mark icon: it lets #showtooltip show the real spell icon.
  4. Click Copy on the card, paste into the big box, and click Save.
  5. Drag the macro onto an action bar and bind that slot in Options > Keybindings.
  6. Test it out of combat with every modifier listed on the card.

Before you rely on a key. These macros are checked against Blizzard's Forever posts and the Forever client's own UI code, but none has been run in the game yet. Test each one out of combat first. Checked against build 1.60.1.70374 on Oct 15, 2026.

What Forever changed for druids

Blizzard's Hunter and Druid deep dive and beta notes through October 8 guide these changes, with Wowhead's Forever talent and trainer extracts filling in client details.

WrathCheaper, lighter hits replace the old filler. October 8 also retuned early ranks so learning a new rank stays worthwhile.
Nature's GraspBaseline at 10; works indoors and in form.
Omen of ClarityBaseline at 20; Wrath leaves Clearcasting available for another spell.
ReviveNew out-of-combat resurrection at 12. Save Rebirth for combat.
Entangling RootsNow works indoors. A rooted enemy can still hit someone within reach.
Faerie FireFree in Bear, Dire Bear and Cat, with a 6-second cooldown. No longer resets swings.
Bear FormOctober 8 raises threat bonus to 50% and bonus rage from critical hits to 100%. Absorbs no longer reduce incoming rage.
SwipeScales with attack power and still hits three targets in Bear forms.
Tiger's FuryRemoved. Ignore its leftover trainer entry.
Shifting PowerNew Cat talent after Shredding Attacks 3/3: trades 55% base mana for 40 energy. The extracted zero-mana text is wrong.
Improved Shifting PowerNew two-rank follow-up cuts the cooldown by 4/8 seconds.
FurorReworked Cat effect restores stored energy plus energy earned outside Cat. Bear forms discard that reserve.
Thick HideReworked armor talent benefits from extra Defense skill in combat forms. The extracted level-scaling text needs a live tooltip check before using exact armor values.
Natural InstinctRenamed from Predatory Instincts; adds healing equal to 12/25% of Intellect alongside its melee critical damage bonus.
EclipseNew talent lets Wrath shorten your next two Starfire casts, with up to four charges.
OvergrowthNew two-rank talent raises the number of enemies you can keep rooted by one per rank.
Moonkin FormParty crit now helps attacks and spells, does not stack with Leader of the Pack, and doubles Omen trigger chance. Healing still requires leaving form.
Gift of the EarthmotherNew 11-point Restoration talent shortens the global cooldown of Rejuvenation, Swiftmend and Wild Growth by 0.5 seconds.
SwiftmendNow reachable with 16 Restoration points and no longer eats the heal over time.
Wild GrowthNew 31-point Restoration spell heals the selected ally and that ally's party over time.

PvP in Forever

  • Honor buys PvP rewards; Rank Points advance your rank. Earn them through player kills, battlegrounds and relevant quests. Rank 2 unlocks the trinket, with gear and mounts later and weapons at rank 14.
  • Weekly seasonal tasks grant Honor and Rank Points; three seasonal tasks also grant Legacy Points. Check the live panel for caps and thresholds rather than importing Era rank rules.
  • Darkspear Islands is 15 against 15 for levels 30 to 60. Hold four bases and deliver the central flag to a friendly base; first to 2,000 points wins.
  • The Horde reputation is Darkspear Raiders, with gear and consumable rewards and an Exalted tabard questline. Guard objectives together; a druid can scout, heal or escort without chasing every fight.
  • Test flag restrictions on forms, movement effects and consumables. Do not promise a Forever flag-running trick just because it worked in Era.

Your PvP tools

  • ProwlScout approaches and report numbers before committing. Stealth is scouting permission, not an invitation to duel three people (era).
  • Entangling RootsHold a pursuer, then leave melee reach. Damage may break the hold; it is not a silence (era).
  • Nature's GraspKeep a reactive root ready when melee closes. Forever allows it indoors and while shifted.
  • BashBuy time against a stunnable enemy in Bear. A stun can stop a cast, but an immune target still gets its spell off (era).
  • Feral ChargeTake the talent for Bear cast disruption or a Cat leap. Do not count the Cat version as an interrupt.
  • Faerie FireKeep pressure on a stealth user and reduce armor. The anti-stealth use is an Era tactic to retest in Forever.
  • RejuvenationKeep useful healing ticking while you move toward cover or an ally. It will not replace a direct heal against burst (era).
  • SwiftmendThe level-30 Restoration build can rescue an ally already carrying Rejuvenation or Regrowth.
  • War StompTauren can buy a brief opening nearby. Forever allows racial use while shifted.
  • PounceThe trainer extract lists this stealth stun at 36. It is a launch-level option, not a level-30 opener.
  • BarkskinListed at 44 and usable in form in Forever. Keep it for incoming pressure once learned.
  • BerserkThe level-60 Feral target clears and blocks fear during its window. It needs 31 Feral points and is absent from the level-30 presets.

Forms and when to use them

Forms and when to use them. Pick the shape that does the next job and keep enough mana to get back. Costs below are base mana before talents, not a percentage of your geared mana pool; tooltip values are client evidence and may change during beta.

Put your forms within reach

  1. Finish your race-specific Bear story at 10 and learn its tank buttons.
  2. Check the Cure Poison chain at 14 and Aquatic Form chain at 16.
  3. At 20, follow The Great Cat Spirit story; Windshapers have a Windborne spirit branch.
  4. Check Travel Form at 30 and Dire Bear Form at 40 with your trainer; a matching Forever Travel quest chain is not verified.
  5. Bind each learned form and a separate leave-form key; practice without enemies nearby.
  6. Show mana alongside Rage or Energy and read the current shift cost before planning an emergency heal.

Forms at a glance

  • Normal formFull casting and healing; leaving a form costs no mana.
  • Bear Form10; client cost 55% base mana; tank with Rage.
  • Aquatic Form16; client cost 20% base mana; swim and breathe underwater.
  • Cat Form20; client cost 55% base mana; melee with Energy and Prowl.
  • Travel Form30; client cost 20% base mana; 40% faster outdoors on the ground.
  • Dire Bear Form40; client cost 55% base mana; stronger Bear, still Rage.
  • Moonkin Form31 Balance points, earliest 40; client cost 35% base mana; non-healing spells.

Choose the right shape

  • Normal form: the full spellbookUse it for healing, resurrection and unrestricted spellcasting. Returning to normal form costs no mana; your next spell still costs its own mana. Carry a casting set when you expect to heal.
  • Bear Form: hold the enemyAt 10, spend 55% base mana to enter according to extracted client tooltips. Bear abilities spend Rage; ordinary heals require leaving form. Tank or catch a loose enemy, then hand over safely before casting.
  • Dire Bear Form: the later bearListed at 40 with a 55% base-mana shift in client data, beyond the beta cap. It uses Bear abilities and Rage with stronger protection. Ordinary heals still require leaving form.
  • Cat Form: melee and stealthAt 20, the Forever quest unlocks Cat; extracted tooltips list 55% base mana to enter. Cat attacks spend Energy, and Prowl helps you sneak. Leave for ordinary heals and return when safe.
  • Aquatic Form: swim homeThe Forever tooltip lists level 16 and 20% base mana. It gives 50% faster swimming and underwater breathing. Treat it as travel; leave it for ordinary heals and damage spells.
  • Travel Form: outdoor errandsThe Forever tooltip lists level 30, 20% base mana and 40% run speed outdoors. It stays on the ground, including the Skyborne bird appearance. Leave it for ordinary combat spells.
  • Moonkin Form: Balance castingA 31-point Balance talent, earliest level 40; the Forever tooltip lists 35% base mana. Cast non-healing spells using mana and leave to heal. Its 3% party crit aura does not stack with Leader of the Pack.
  • Leave deliberatelyToggle the form button or bind /cancelform. Leaving is free, but entering again costs mana. Practice first; leaving Bear under a boss can turn a rescue into a floor inspection.
  • Know the exceptionsForever allows Barkskin and racial abilities in forms, plus most potions and many objects. Faerie Fire works in Cat and Bear; Nature's Grasp works shifted. Most Engineering bombs remain restricted. This does not unlock the full spellbook in animal forms.
  • Spend mana for Energy on purposeOld Era powershifting repeatedly left and reentered Cat. Forever adds Shifting Power: 40 Energy for mana, first available at 16 Feral points with 3/3 Shredding Attacks. Read its live cost; the talent text displays an unhelpful zero.
  • Furor remembers, Bear interruptsAt 5/5, the Furor text preserves Cat Energy and restores 10 per second outside Cat, up to 100. Bear and Dire Bear forfeit that saved Energy and halt restoration. Lower ranks retain less; skip the old Era bear-weaving loop.
  • Wolfshead changed tooOctober 8 changed Wolfshead Helm to add 5 Energy when using Shifting Power; its Rage effect remains. Shifting Power cannot be used at full Energy. Spend Energy first and save mana for your backup job.
  • Your weapon reaches the clawsForever makes weapon DPS matter in Cat and Bear, with 1-second Cat and 2.5-second Bear swings. Weapon effects and enchants work shifted too. Compare current tooltips before buying an old Era favorite.
  • Shift to get movingForever form tooltips say shifting frees you from Polymorph and movement-impairing effects. Budget the mana and choose a safe shape; this is not a general cure for fear, stuns or every boss restriction.

Talents and Legacy

Talents begin at 10: 21 points at 30 and 51 at 60 without Talented. Points read Balance / Feral Combat / Restoration. These are legal suggestions from the Forever client tree, not beta performance rankings. Levels above 30 are plans to test.

Legacy picks for a druid

Legacy is account-wide progress spent separately by each character. Reaching 25 on a character unlocks it for the usual leveling route. The launch spending cap is 16; earn your points before planning the shopping trip.

  1. Well RestedMore rested XP storage and faster accumulation suit Gaming after bedtime. The shared beta plan puts this before Talented.5 points
  2. TalentedStart talents up to five levels early. That means 26 points at 30; none of the seven presets assumes these extra points.5 points
  3. Thrill of AdventureHealth and mana after non-trivial outdoor kills help with the next pull.5 points
  4. Field MedicineShorter Recently Bandaged outside dungeons, raids and battlegrounds. A cheap outdoor fallback.1 point
  5. The Quick and the DeadFaster corpse runs and free party buffs after resurrection help group recovery. Treat this as an alternative purchase.2 points
  6. Reagent EconomyRemoves purchasable class reagents. Handy for Rebirth, after meeting the Resourcefulness gate.1 point

The first four picks total 16 using the shared beta cost data. Costs and the Well Rested prerequisite for Talented need a live panel check. Reagent Economy needs 10 points in Resourcefulness in that data; it is not a cheap first purchase. Do not add every row together.

Cat leveling

0/21/0

Cat movement speed and cheaper attacks make a comfortable solo route. Shifting Power supports sustained damage, but uses mana you may need for healing.

Restoration dungeon healer

0/0/21

Swiftmend and Nature's Swiftness give two different emergency answers. Bring a questing partner when the healing shift is over.

Legacy: None assumed. With Talented, Genesis 5/5 is a simple extra five points for periodic healing; the displayed preset stays at 21.

Bear dungeon tank

0/21/0

Prioritize armor, Swipe damage, Bear charge and Primal Bite. It is a tanking variant, so it skips Cat movement speed and Shifting Power.

Legacy: None assumed. With Talented, Furor 5/5 can add starting rage on a Bear shift. Check your mana before repeated shifts.

Leveling and dungeons

Quest, heal a dungeon, or bring the bear when Dad Bods needs a tank. The beta stops at 30; above that is an Era plan with announced Forever additions. Horde druids can be Tauren or Windshaper Skyborne.

Horde route, 1 to 60

Finish your starting story first: Mulgore for Tauren, the Skyborne story for Windshapers. Join the shared Horde route afterward and visit your trainer for form quests before taking a long trip.

Quest rewards not to miss

Useful Horde rewards, including the class quests that change your evening. Levels are minimums or planning milestones, not promises of solo completion. Forever quest records are client evidence; Era rewards still need launch checks. Tauren class steps are named because Windshapers can have different introductions.

Is there a Horde Wintersaber?

Not confirmed. No source shows a Desolace raptor grind in Forever. The Horde counterpart players remember is the Venomhide Ravasaur from Un'Goro Crater, which arrived in Wrath of the Lich King. Forever's database lists the mount and its faction, but not how to get them.

  • Buy what you press most first: Wrath and Healing Touch early, then your form's attacks.
  • Feral? Bear and Cat ranks first; Balance spell ranks can wait.
  • Balance? Moonfire and Wrath first; Maul and Claw ranks can wait.
  • Keep Rejuvenation and Healing Touch current in any spec: you will heal yourself between pulls.
  • If gold is tight before your mount, delay Thorns and Mark of the Wild ranks, never your main attack.

Gear and consumables

Four jobs, several outfits, one very full bag. Keep healing gear even if you level as a cat. Forever makes equipped weapon DPS and weapon procs work in forms, so a feral weapon upgrade finally means what it says on the tin.

What stats matter, and when

StageWhat to stackWhy
Leveling 1 to 30Spell power for early casting; weapon DPS, Strength and Agility for feral; keep Stamina and a healing outfitBefore Cat Form at 20, you still spend time casting. At 20 and beyond, a better weapon improves form damage in Forever. Buy upgrades you will use before buying a matching outfit.
Restoration at 60Bonus healing, Intellect, Spirit and mana per 5 secondsHealing power improves your casts. Intellect gives room for mistakes; Spirit and mana regeneration help on longer pulls. Reflection and Living Spirit change the value of Spirit. The exact Forever raid weights need testing.
Balance at 60Spell damage and useful spell hit, then crit and IntellectNature and Arcane support different parts of your spell mix. Count Nature's Reach before buying hit gear. Classic Era caps and school weights are references, not confirmed Forever targets.
Cat at 60Weapon DPS, then Strength, Agility, attack power and useful melee hit or critWeapon damage and procs now work in form. Classic Era cat scores leave weapon DPS out, so compare the actual weapon separately. Wolfshead Helm now helps Shifting Power rather than repeated form entry.
Bear at 60Armor, Stamina and Defense, with a useful weapon and enough hit for threatA bigger health cushion gives the healer time. Thick Hide now turns bonus Defense into armor. Classic Era weights miss that change; keep a defensive set and check how hard the next pull hits.

Gear to aim for by 30

These equip requirements are 30 or lower. Stats come from Forever item or recipe tooltips. New leather crafts bind on pickup, so make your own; some also drop in dungeons. Cloth is fine for casting, but put leather back on to tank. Two-Hand replaces Main Hand plus Off Hand. The Ranged slot holds an idol, never a wand.

Best weapon at every level

Keep a casting weapon for Balance or healing and a damage weapon for Feral. Blizzard confirms that Forever uses equipped weapon DPS for Cat and Bear damage with form attack speeds, so old Era stat-stick rankings are no longer a safe shopping list.

60 before raidsThe Hammer of Grace plus Brightly Glowing Stone; Bonecrusher for Feral comparisonBRD and Dire Maul North; The Treasure of the Shen'dralar in Dire Maul, in Era.Balance can compare a spell-power staff against a spell-power one-hander plus Spirit of Aquementas. Unyielding Maul is an Era Bear survival alternative; no tested Forever pre-raid winner yet.

These are practical targets rather than a tested Forever ranking; Era entries need current tooltips, and a casting one-hander needs a held off-hand rather than a shield.

Pre-raid targets at 60

These are Classic Era pre-raid shopping references, with role choices kept separate. A Forever database record does not prove a launch drop. Recheck availability after November 4; the first raids open December 9. Do not farm Era powershifting gear on autopilot. The scores use Era assumptions and omit weapon DPS, percentage effects, set bonuses and procs. Cat and bear weapon rows include an alternative, not another item to equip. Healing and Balance use published Pawn Classic Era comparison scales, originally adapted from TBC; cat uses Era Phase 1 values and bear uses an Era Season of Mastery example. They are not Forever simulations. Bear armor weights cannot distinguish enchant armor from item armor.

Druid in groups

Druid in groups. Agree on one main job and keep the others within reach. A spare heal or emergency bear can save the run, but changing jobs takes mana, gear and a quick word. These habits build on Era play unless a Forever change is named.

Set up your screen

  1. Enable party or raid frames and keep every member visible.
  2. Show removable curse and poison icons; place cleansing binds beside your heals.
  3. Keep mana visible in Cat and Bear, plus Rage, Energy, combo points and threat warnings.
  4. Bind Bear, Cat and a clear leave-form key; keep Growl and Bash easy to reach.
  5. Show Rebirth, Revive and Innervate cooldowns; check reagents for your trained Rebirth rank.
  6. Show raid marks and target-of-target; keep mouseover healing keys reachable after leaving form.

Raid marks

  • SkullFirst kill target; as Bear, secure its attention before switching.
  • CrossSecond kill target; be ready for an agreed pickup.
  • MoonUsually sheep; keep your damage away unless assigned otherwise.
  • SquareYour Hibernate if assigned and the creature is eligible; otherwise leave it alone.
  • StarAgreed Roots or backup job; confirm before the pull.

Habits that keep the group alive

  • Name your jobSay whether you tank, heal or deal damage before pulling. Offer a backup role you have the gear to do; a cat suit alone is not a tank set.
  • Keep a healing reserveWhile dealing damage, save mana for an emergency heal and a return to form. Tell the healer before you take over.
  • Be the spare bearUse Bear and Growl on an eligible loose enemy, then build threat and face it safely. Call the pickup; leave the assigned tank's boss alone.
  • Plan the next healPut Rejuvenation or Regrowth up before predictable damage, then use Healing Touch for a direct heal. Talented Swiftmend needs one of those periodic heals and no longer consumes it in Forever.
  • Clean the right debuffThe client list gives Cure Poison at 14, Remove Curse at 24 and Abolish Poison at 26. Druids do not remove friendly magic or disease; ask the group to cover those.
  • Root with roomForever allows Entangling Roots indoors. Hold the assigned enemy away from allies; a rooted enemy can still hit someone beside it. Overgrowth needs talent points to hold extra targets.
  • Hibernate the right creatureThe client lists Hibernate at 18. Use it on eligible beasts or dragonkin, watch its timer and keep damage off it; boss immunity still wins.
  • Resurrect on purposeUse Rebirth for the agreed combat recovery and check the body is safe. The client lists it at 20; Forever adds Revive at 12 for out-of-combat resurrection.
  • Give Innervate a nameThe client lists Innervate at 40, beyond beta. Agree on a healer target and call when you use it so another druid can choose someone else.
  • Refresh useful buffsKeep Mark of the Wild on new arrivals and revived players. Ask who wants Thorns; the active tank is the usual choice.
  • Use the right stopBash stuns susceptible targets. Talented Feral Charge has a Bear interrupt; the Cat version does not. Check your talents and target immunity before volunteering.
  • Leave Bear safelyGet clear or hand the enemy to another tank before leaving Bear to heal or resurrect. Drink at safe breaks; the useful backup jobs still cost mana.

Which ability when

Choose the job first, then the button. Levels come from the Forever trainer extract, talent spells require their talent, and tactics marked era still need a beta test.

SituationAt 30At 60Why
One enemy while levelingBalance: Wrath, adding Moonfire or talented Insect Swarm when the target will live for the ticks. Feral: Cat with Claw; Rake or Rip for a longer fight.Balance can use Moonkin and add Starfire. Feral adds Ferocious Bite, but a bleed still needs time to pay off.Use the cheap direct hit when an enemy is nearly dead. Do not pay for ticks it will never see (era).
Several enemies arriveHold one with Entangling Roots or Hibernate if its creature type allows. Bear can Swipe up to three nearby targets.Add Lacerate for Bear pressure on important targets. Hurricane is listed at 40 for caster area damage; check control targets before channeling.Control keeps extra incoming damage manageable. Area damage can wake the enemy you meant to park (era).
A caster needs stoppingUse Bash against a stunnable target, or Bear Feral Charge if talented and within its range. The Cat version does not interrupt.Keep the same answers; line of sight can force an enemy to move when the terrain allows.A stun and an interrupt have different immunity rules. Ask a teammate for a backup stop (era).
An enemy runs toward friendsUse Entangling Roots before it reaches another pack. Use Bash if close enough and the target can be stunned.Keep those tools; talented Overgrowth can hold more enemies if your build includes it.A root is a full movement hold, not a slow. Damage may break it, so call the hold (era).
Your health falls quicklyCreate space, then use Regrowth or Healing Touch. Restoration can use Swiftmend on an existing HoT, or Nature's Swiftness for an instant Nature heal.Add Barkskin in form; Bear also gains Frenzied Regeneration at 36 in the trainer extract. It needs rage to heal.Dropping Bear in melee can expose you. Get cover before committing to a caster-form heal (era).
Mana or combat resources run lowCat can wait for energy; Bear should avoid spending every bit of rage. Drink between pulls when low on mana; Shifting Power spends mana to solve energy, not the reverse.Innervate is listed at 40. Use the agreed target; leave enough mana for your own shift and emergency heal.Resources serve different jobs. Saving the next global cooldown is useful only if you can afford it (era).
Preparing a dungeon pullConfirm your role and control target. Buff Mark of the Wild; the tank can use Thorns. Bear may use Enrage before engaging when its drawback is safe.Add Gift of the Wild when learned and keep Rebirth supplies ready unless the Legacy reagent perk removes that need.Preparing costs less than rescuing a pull started before the healer was ready (era).
Holding aggro or losing itBear: Growl the escaped enemy, then build threat with Primal Bite if talented and other attacks. Cat: use Cower when necessary and let the tank recover.Bear adds Lacerate. Keep Challenging Roar for a short emergency against several enemies, then build lasting threat. An attention button needs follow-up attacks. Cower is an NPC threat tool, not protection against players (era).
A group member is in troubleChoose a direct heal if they need health now. Use Remove Curse or Abolish Poison for the matching debuff; use Rebirth for a critical combat death.Restoration adds Wild Growth for a hurt party, targeted through an ally in that party. Revive still handles safe resurrection after combat.Treat the cause as well as the health bar. One useful dispel can beat several extra heals (era).
Opening a PvP encounterProwl to scout, then choose whether to engage. Cat does not yet have Ravage or Pounce in the trainer extract; support with healing or Roots instead of promising a stun opener.Ravage at 32 and Pounce at 36 add stealth choices. Choose Pounce for a stunnable target you need controlled, and have an exit route.Know whether you are scouting, peeling or attacking before leaving stealth (era).

Raids in Forever

  • Raids open December 9, 2026: Onyxia's Lair for 40 players, Barrow Deeps for 10 and Hyjal Summit for 20. Launch is November 4; opening night is for leveling.
  • Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit boss names below come from beta data. Their order, mechanics and druid assignments are unverified; names are not strategy evidence.
  • Later Classic raid dates and Forever attunements remain unconfirmed. Treat the Era entry chains below as planning, not confirmed requirements.
  • The beta stops at 30. The level-60 tactics below are Era starting points, not tested Forever strategies; adjust them after live discoveries.
  • Forever adds Revive at 12 for out-of-combat resurrection. Use Rebirth for a planned combat recovery and check its rank-specific seed before leaving town.
  • Forever permits potions and most similar consumables in forms. This does not grant ordinary spellcasting in Cat or Bear, and most Engineering bombs remain restricted.
  • Quantities are suggested night supplies, not mandatory purchases. Check current potion cooldowns, flask rules and beta consumable tooltips.
  • Druids remove curses and poisons, not friendly magic or disease. Split removal jobs with the other healers and mages; some boss debuffs must be left alone.
  • Carry tank and healing swaps only for jobs you agreed to cover. Leave Bear safely before healing, Innervate or Rebirth; arrange tank coverage first.
  • New raids do not inherit TBC encounters from their names. Wait for verified mechanics before buying a special resistance set.
  • Blizzard also confirms that weapon DPS and effects matter in Feral forms; consumable and weapon choices must be checked against Forever tooltips rather than old Era stat-stick rankings.

Before the raid: assignments

  1. Set your main job and backup: named tank, healing party or damage assignment; keep the right gear ready.
  2. Split Mark or Gift of the Wild buffs, tank Thorns, curse removal and poison removal by group.
  3. Name Innervate targets, Rebirth priorities and who covers you when leaving form; avoid doubling Moonkin Aura and Leader of the Pack in one party.

Before every pull

  1. Mana above the agreed floor, including a reserve for shifting and an emergency cast.
  2. Mark or Gift of the Wild refreshed; Thorns on the agreed tanks.
  3. Correct gear and form; everyone knows who picks up loose enemies.
  4. Rebirth ready with the reagent for your trained rank; Innervate target agreed if learned.
  5. Healing and removal assignments visible; keep a safe route to likely Rebirth bodies.
  6. In range and line of sight; call low mana, deaths and role changes before someone needs coverage.

Druid jobs by raid size

RaidDruidsWho does what
10 players: Barrow Deeps1 to 2 druidsOptional starting roster: a healer or Bear with the right kit, plus optional damage. Name a backup healer, Innervate targets and Rebirth priority; mechanics are untested.
20 players: Hyjal Summit, Zul'Gurub, AQ202 to 3 druidsMix Restoration with Bear, Cat or Balance as needed. Split curses and poisons by party, stagger Innervates and name tank cover before leaving form. Hyjal jobs remain provisional.
40 players: Onyxia, Molten Core and later3 to 5 druidsPlanning range, not a class quota: Restoration covers named tanks or groups, Feral fills agreed tank or damage jobs, and Balance supports a useful party. Split buffs and removals; nominate a Rebirth caller.

Counts and job splits are suggestions based on Era habits, not confirmed Forever requirements. The beta stops at 30; Innervate is client-listed at 40, Wild Growth needs 31 Restoration points and Moonkin Form needs 31 Balance points, so none is a level-30 baseline tool.

Druid tips

Pick a job for this pull, keep mana for the unexpected, and let your forms do useful work. Talent details below come from the Forever client tree; habits carried over from Classic are marked era.

Leveling

  • Fight one at a time. Pull into clear space and keep an escape route. Cat is a practical solo choice, not a promise that it wins every Forever damage test (era).
  • Use the form you have. The trainer extract lists Bear at 10, Cat at 20 and Travel at 30. Before Cat, try ranged damage followed by Bear rather than drinking after every enemy (era).
  • Let bleeds finish their work. Rake and Rip need time to pay off. Use Claw when a target will die before the bleed matters; Ferocious Bite is listed at 32, outside this beta cap (era).

Mana, energy and rage

  • Keep a healing reserve. Energy and rage do not pay for shifting back into a combat form. Stop spending mana on damage when the next heal would empty you (era).
  • Read Shifting Power carefully. It buys 40 energy with mana and cannot be used at full energy. The zero-mana number in the extracted talent is a display problem, not free childcare.
  • Take useful recovery talents. Reflection reaches 50% mana regeneration while casting at 3/3. Natural Shapeshifter lowers shift costs; its reduction also helps Shifting Power.

Shapeshifting

  • Every form has a job. Bear handles incoming melee, Cat spends energy, Aquatic handles water and Travel handles outdoor travel. Moonkin is a talent, not a trainer purchase (era).
  • Leave form with a plan. Dropping Bear to heal exposes your smaller caster health and armor. Ask for cover before doing it under pressure (era).
  • Do not copy old powershifting loops. Furor stores Cat energy during time outside Cat; Bear forms throw that reserve away. Use the new Shifting Power talent for its intended energy trade.
  • Keep the weapon upgrade. Forever uses equipped weapon DPS for form attacks, and weapon effects work in form. Old stat-stick advice can cost you damage.

Dungeons

  • Say which role you brought. Tell the party whether you are tanking, healing or dealing damage before the first pull. Carry gear for any second job you agreed to cover (era).
  • Build threat before spending freely. Use Primal Bite if talented and spread Bear attacks across the pack. Swipe covers three targets; it does not promise the whole room stays with you.
  • Keep resurrection buttons separate. Revive is for out of combat. Rebirth is the combat rescue; check its reagent and cooldown before promising one.
  • Control the spare enemy. Roots now work indoors. Mark the held enemy and keep Swipe and damage over time away from it.

Healing without panic

  • Match the heal to the gap. Rejuvenation suits damage its ticks can cover. Healing Touch needs cast time; Regrowth starts with a direct heal. Do not refresh a healthy player just to look busy (era).
  • Prepare Swiftmend. Put Rejuvenation or Regrowth on the endangered ally first. The new Swiftmend keeps that effect, so check the actual live behavior before relying on an old consume-and-refresh habit.
  • Aim Wild Growth at the right party. At 60, the Restoration target has it; at 30, it does not. Select an ally in the party taking damage, then check range rather than assuming raid-wide coverage.

Group habits

  • Bring bad news toward the tank. If an enemy follows you, move toward the tank and call it. A lap around the room is usually a family activity best saved for home (era).
  • Help with the right debuff. The trainer list gives Cure Poison at 14, Remove Curse at 24 and Abolish Poison at 26. Identify the debuff before spending the global cooldown.
  • Make the rescue a team decision. Call a Rebirth target before casting so two druids do not spend the same rescue. At 60, agree who needs Innervate before the pull (era).

Forever changes worth remembering

  • Use the new talent names. Genesis boosts periodic damage and healing. Nature's Majesty gives spell and melee crit; Nature's Splendor extends selected damage and healing effects after Majesty 2/2.
  • Separate charge from a kick. The Feral Charge talent grants Bear and Cat versions. Bear stops a cast; Cat only leaps behind. The trainer extract alone does not prove either is baseline.
  • Do not demand an unshielded Bear. The October 8 rage fix lets absorbs coexist with rage from incoming attacks.
  • Check stale spell rows. Tiger's Fury was removed despite its trainer entry. Insect Swarm and Primal Bite remain talent-gated even when higher ranks appear in trainer data.

Horde choices

  • Choose Tauren or Windshaper Skyborne. Blizzard's table allows both Horde druid races. Pick the look you enjoy watching after bedtime.
  • Tauren active racials. War Stomp stuns nearby enemies for 2 seconds, buying room for a heal. Cultivation grows bonus herbs without requiring Herbalism to gather them.
  • Tauren passive racials. Endurance gives 5% total health and 1% hit. Plainsrunning builds movement speed while you keep moving; do not assume it stacks with forms.
  • Windshaper Skyborne racials. Walk on Air glides for 10 seconds; Skysight grants a 10% run-speed blessing. Wind Blessed gives 1% melee, ranged and casting haste; Elemental Insight adds 5% damage against elementals.

Addons and UI

Start with Blizzard's own tools, then add only what helps you see the group's health, curses and your form. Readable bars beat a cockpit.

  • Default raid-style party frames Works in Forever

Edit Mode lets you use compact raid-style party frames and move them where you can read them. Put health bars and debuffs near your character, then use this guide's mouseover keys to heal without changing targets.

Forever UI source includes the Edit Mode setting, checked Oct 14, 2026

  • Default Cooldown Manager Works in Forever

Blizzard's tracker supports class abilities, racials, and trinkets, with consumable support still due in a later patch. Keep Fear Ward and your talented cooldowns in view before shopping for more trackers.

Official October 8 support update, checked Oct 14, 2026

  • Default nameplates Works in Forever

Blizzard's nameplates put enemy health and cast bars above the mobs. Keep enemy plates visible so you can spot a loose mob while your mouse stays near the party frames.

  • Default Damage Meter Works in Forever

The built-in meter shows healing, damage, dispels, and deaths, and you can position it in Edit Mode. Review healing and deaths after the pull; a bigger number is less useful than a living tank.

  • Grid2 Works in Forever

Grid2 replaces party and raid frames with a compact grid and configurable buff and debuff indicators. Give Renew, shields, and Weakened Soul separate indicators so you can read a tank's situation quickly.

  • Clique Unverified

Clique binds spells or macros to mouse clicks and keys over unit frames. Try it if clicking to heal feels better than the guide's mouseover keys, and keep target and unit-menu clicks bound too.

  • ThreatClassic2 Works in Forever

The Forever version shows threat for your enemy target, but its friendly-target healer mode is unavailable on this client. Bear tanking lives on threat. Check the list before your group opens up, and before your cat crits pull it off the tank.

  • Decursive Works in Forever

Decursive adds small unit buttons for spotting and manually removing effects your class can dispel. Keep magic and disease removal easy to reach without hiding the ordinary frames that show other dangerous debuffs.

  • Regular WeakAuras is not a drop-in Forever setup; Musca Auras is a 1.60.1 port whose modern aura triggers work within the client's limits. Useful reminders to test are missing Inner Fire, Fear Ward cooldown, talented Power Infusion ready once learned, shield and Weakened Soul, mana potion cooldown, and a five-second-rule ticker.

Musca 1.9.1 supports 1.60.1; these druid auras unverified, Oct 14, 2026

Add and test one addon at a time, including a heal on a mouseover party frame and a form swap in combat, before adding the next.

Professions for druids

Pick the pair you will use after bedtime. Skinning and Leatherworking makes your own BoP leather upgrades. Herbalism and Alchemy supplies drinks for every job. Herbalism and Enchanting trades easy material pairing for gathering income and personal caster crafts. First Aid and Cooking fit alongside all three.

Which pair to pick

ProfessionsWhyBest for
Herbalism and AlchemyGather your herbs, sell extras and make mana or role-specific consumables. Forever healing potions moved to First Aid, so Alchemy is not required for emergency healing. You can buy tradeable elixirs without keeping the profession. All roles, consumable supply and gathering income
Skinning and LeatherworkingSkins from your quest route feed new leather crafts for feral, Balance and healing. Many new pieces bind on pickup. Patterns, pearls, hides and Pristine Leather still cost time or gold; a guildmate cannot hand you their BoP craft.Feral leveling, bears and druids who want several outfits
Herbalism and EnchantingSell herbs to pay for dust and disenchant unwanted eligible gear. Mystic Mushroom and Orb of Mystic Insight are useful personal crafts. Herbalism does not supply enchanting materials; rods, dust and BoP recipes make this a less direct pairing. Buying an enchant service gives most ordinary enchants without learning the profession.Caster druids who value an idol and gathering income

Materials are per craft, not guaranteed totals. Yellow recipes may miss a skill-up. Train Journeyman at skill 50 and level 10, Expert at 125 and level 20. The starter route stops at 130 on purpose; continue with trainer recipes after comparing material prices. Some source guides disagree on new recipe skills, so use the pattern and trainer. Artisan requires level 35 and sits beyond the beta cap. Do not assume every craft needs only leather.

Alchemy: mana and utility through 225

Use non-healing recipes. First Aid now handles ordinary healing potions. Keep useful mana potions instead of selling the whole batch.

Materials are per craft; yellow and green crafts can miss skill-ups. Train Journeyman at 50 and level 10, Expert at 125 and level 20. Buy Nature Protection Potion from a neutral vendor such as Glyx Brewright in Stranglethorn Vale. Its recipe binds on pickup. Artisan needs level 35, so stop at 225 during this beta. New profession-camp recipes can replace route steps when they are useful and affordable.

Tips

  • Durotar Supply and Logistics has the Horde camp outside the Crossroads. Filled crates earn Merchant's Favor for profession recipes.
  • Choose a recipe on the character who will learn it. Many patterns and their finished upgrades bind on pickup.
  • Tauren and Windshaper Skyborne can be Horde druids in Forever. Tauren Cultivation does not require Herbalism, but its herb options have level requirements; it does not supply every Alchemy reagent.
  • Keep First Aid current for healing potions and bandages. Cooking adds food choices; ask a cook for Thistle Tea instead of assuming its recipe is druid-trainable.
  • Enchanting is the direct route to your own Mystic Mushroom. Its 5% Spirit effect is useful without being a flat-stat planner score.
  • Leatherworking's Tanning Rack is also a crafting requirement on new recipes. Check the recipe tools before leaving town.
  • Keep enough money for training and repairs. The auction house will survive one evening without you.

Best enchants for a druid

Enchant pieces you expect to keep. Buy cheap help for leveling, then save the large material bills for lasting gear. Forever adds necklace enchants, improves several small enchants and lets weapon effects work in forms.

Each slot takes one permanent enchant or armor kit. Arrange an enchanter's service; PTR-only scroll records do not prove tradeable scrolls exist. Check target restrictions, recipe access and the full bill before paying. Weapon procs now work in forms, but their exact uptime still needs testing. Revelation is a spell effect; do not buy it expecting feral attacks to trigger it. Classic Era armor weights distinguish armor on gear from armor enchants, and this planner has only one armor field. It cannot measure that difference, new Thick Hide scaling, haste, procs or movement speed. New glove school-damage and two-handed caster enchants exist in the database, but their high-skill access needs a launch check.

Troubleshooting

Shapeshifting ate my mana
Every reset card cancels your form before trying to reenter it. Stop mashing; use Shifting Power for Energy once talented and ordinary form buttons for normal movement.
My heal in Cat Form failed
Use Back to caster first, then heal. The friendly heal cards do not explicitly cancel forms, and a form change can leave a cooldown to wait out.
My form number changed
Bear or Dire Bear is slot 1. With Aquatic learned, Aquatic is 2, Cat is 3, Travel is 4 and Moonkin is 5 when available; missing forms shift later slots, so check your form bar.
Rebirth says no target
Hover a dead friendly unit or select a dead friendly target. A living player does not match; check the reagent for your trained Rebirth rank too.
I cannot leave Travel Form in combat
Use Back to caster; /cancelform has no combat restriction here. Reentering Travel still needs an outdoor location, mana and a ready cooldown.
Bear changed, but Growl did nothing
Shifting and Growl need separate presses with the form cooldown between them. Leave another form first, and check your living enemy mouseover, range and Growl cooldown.
Shift or Alt does nothing
Check modified keybind conflicts and the exact learned rank. Shift only appears on lower-rank cards, Alt casts on you, and Ctrl selects the card's second job.
I look like a cat but my bar is wrong
A player report describes beta form and action-bar desync with powershift macros. Test the ordinary form button without addons in a safe spot; keep reset macros out of dungeons until the aura and bar agree.

Graphics and console settings

36 commands

A steady frame rate makes form changes and quick heals easier to follow, while readable ground effects help you keep paws and party out of trouble. Start at native resolution and 100% render scale, with Low or Fair shadows, Medium particles and Projected Textures on. Cap your frame rate at what your PC can hold, and 30 in the background. Write down every value before you change it so you can put it back.

The Forever look

The September tip from Icy Veins that went around the community: render scale 98%, contrast 60, brightness 40 (some players prefer 45). The same sliders are in Settings > Graphics (Render Scale under Resolution; Contrast, Brightness and Gamma further down). It depends on your monitor, so try it in a foggy zone and keep what looks right.

Write down your current look first

Prints render scale, contrast, brightness and gamma so you can put them back.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run for _,n in ipairs({"RenderScale","Contrast","Brightness","Gamma"}) do print(n,C_CVar.GetCVar(n)) end

The Forever look: 98% scale, contrast 60, brightness 40

Icy Veins says 98% render scale cleans up the image and can save a few frames, and contrast 60 with brightness 40 makes the new fog stand out. One player post uses brightness 45. It depends on your monitor.

3 lines. Type them one at a time in chat, or paste all into a temporary macro and click it once.
/console RenderScale 0.98
/console Contrast 60
/console Brightness 40

Undo: back to the game's defaults

Resets render scale, contrast and brightness to the client defaults. If you wrote down different values, type those instead.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run for _,n in ipairs({"RenderScale","Contrast","Brightness"}) do local d=C_CVar.GetCVarDefault(n); if d then C_CVar.SetCVar(n,d) end end

Record first

Screenshot Settings > Graphics (Base, Raid and Advanced) before you touch anything. These read-only lines print your current values to chat.

Read your current foreground cap

Prints your current maxFPS cap to chat and changes nothing. The on/off switch for the cap (useMaxFPS) is a separate setting, so this alone does not tell you whether the cap is on.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run print("maxFPS", C_CVar.GetCVar("maxFPS"))

Read the game's default cap

Prints what the game thinks the default maxFPS is, and changes nothing. That is the game's default, not the value you had before, so write your own down too.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run print("maxFPS default", C_CVar.GetCVarDefault("maxFPS"))

Record cap switches, VSync and render scale

Prints six settings in one go: both FPS caps and their on/off switches, VSync and render scale. Write the results down before you change anything so you can put them back.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run for _,n in ipairs({"useMaxFPS","maxFPS","useMaxFPSBk","maxFPSBk","vsync","RenderScale"}) do print(n,C_CVar.GetCVar(n)) end

Restore a recorded 120 FPS cap

Puts maxFPS back to 120. That is only an example: type whatever value you wrote down before tuning, not 120 because we said so.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console maxFPS 120

Reset one setting to the game's default

Asks the game for its default maxFPS and sets just that one setting back to it (swap in another name to reset a different setting). A default is not always what you had before, so if you wrote your old value down, type that instead.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run local n="maxFPS"; local d=C_CVar.GetCVarDefault(n); if d then C_CVar.SetCVar(n,d) end

FPS, frame pacing and heat

Raise the cap only if your monitor and real frame rate make it worthwhile.

Test 90 FPS foreground / 30 background

Turns on both FPS caps: 90 while you are playing, 30 when the game is in the background. A cap cannot make a struggling PC reach 90; it just stops a fast one working harder and hotter than it needs to.

4 lines. Type them one at a time in chat, or paste all into a temporary macro and click it once.
/console useMaxFPS 1
/console maxFPS 90
/console useMaxFPSBk 1

Turn the foreground cap off properly

Switches the foreground FPS cap off with its real switch, useMaxFPS 0. The old tip of setting maxFPS 0 is a guess; this is the actual switch, and your stored maxFPS number stays put for when you turn the cap back on.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console useMaxFPS 0

Disable Target FPS for a controlled test

Turns off Target FPS, a separate feature that is not the same thing as the FPS cap. Leave it as you found it unless it is muddying a before-and-after test; note its state first and put it back afterwards.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console useTargetFPS 0

Test VSync disabled

Turns the game's VSync off. It can feel more responsive but may show tearing, so compare it with your monitor and driver settings rather than assuming off is better.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console vsync 0

Enable VSync if tearing distracts

Turns the game's VSync back on if tearing bothers you. If you wrote down a different starting value, that is your real undo; no VSync choice is best for every monitor and driver.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console vsync 1

If FPS is still too low

Lower shadows and water first. Render scale is the last resort.

Lower-cost graphics experiment

Drops shadows and water to Low, turns ambient occlusion off, and lowers view distance, environment detail and ground clutter; the settings menu shows those three as 4, 4 and 2. Try one change at a time in the spot that was slow and keep only what actually helps.

Try 85% render scale (last resort)

Sets render scale to 0.85, which is 85% in each direction and about 72% as many pixels to draw. Only use a value your Render Scale slider actually offers, and treat it as a last resort because it softens the picture.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console RenderScale 0.85

Return to 100% render scale

Puts render scale back to 1 (100%) after the 85% test. If you started somewhere other than 100%, type your recorded value instead.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console RenderScale 1

Keep combat cues visible

Healers need to see ground effects. Keep these on.

Preserve readable combat cues

Keeps projected textures on and particles at Medium so you can still see what is on the floor. Turning either off is a classic FPS-macro trick that can hide combat cues a healer needs.

Antialiasing: FXAA Low test

Turns MSAA off and switches on FXAA Low (ffxAntiAliasingMode 1), the cheap way to smooth jagged edges. Compare it with None: you are trading a bit of blur for smoother edges.

Sets textureFilteringMode 4, which is 8x anisotropic filtering (5 is 16x). It sharpens distant ground seen at an angle; it is not guaranteed to be free, so check your frame rate and put it back if it costs you.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console textureFilteringMode 4

Raid profile

Lower settings that switch on only in raids.

Optional lower-cost Raid profile

Turns on the separate Raid profile (RAIDsettingsEnabled 1) and gives it lighter settings for group content: Low shadows and water, Fair particles, projected textures on, ambient occlusion off, draw sliders showing 4/4/2, and High textures. If Fair particles hide something you need to see, bump them back to Medium in the Raid tab.

10 lines, 366 characters: too long for one macro. Type them one at a time in chat.
/console RAIDsettingsEnabled 1
/console raidGraphicsShadowQuality 0
/console raidGraphicsLiquidDetail 0
/console raidGraphicsParticleDensity 2
/console raidGraphicsProjectedTextures 1
/console raidGraphicsSSAO 0
/console raidGraphicsViewDistance 3
/console raidGraphicsEnvironmentDetail 3
/console raidGraphicsGroundClutter 1
/console raidGraphicsTextureResolution 2

Go back to the Base profile

Switches the Raid profile off so the game uses your Base settings everywhere again. It does not reset the Raid values themselves; they are just not in use.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console RAIDsettingsEnabled 0

Responsiveness and latency

Input feel and network delay are separate from frame rate.

Optional cast on key down

Sets ActionButtonUseKeyDown 1 so your abilities fire when you press the key instead of when you let go, which can feel a touch snappier. Bars and addons that set their own useOnKeyDown behaviour can ignore it, and it does nothing for ping or FPS.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console ActionButtonUseKeyDown 1

Check whether SpellQueueWindow exists

Prints your current SpellQueueWindow value and changes nothing. We could not confirm from the Forever UI files that this setting exists or what it does here, so if it prints nil, leave it alone.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run print("SpellQueueWindow",C_CVar.GetCVar("SpellQueueWindow"))

Ask the game what SpellQueueWindow does

Asks the game for its own help text on SpellQueueWindow and prints it, changing nothing. If nothing comes back, the setting is not there and you can stop here.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run for _,v in ipairs(ConsoleGetAllCommands()) do if v.command:lower()=="spellqueuewindow" then print(v.command,v.help) end end

Try a 300 ms spell queue (only if it exists)

Sets SpellQueueWindow to 300 ms. Only try it if the game confirmed the setting exists and you are coming down from a bigger value to chase a specific casting problem: it cannot lower your ping, and too small a window leaves gaps between casts, so compare and put it back if it feels worse.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console SpellQueueWindow 300

Read home and world latency

Prints your home and world latency in milliseconds, the same numbers the game's own performance indicator uses. It is one snapshot, not an average, and it changes nothing.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run local _,_,h,w=GetNetStats(); print("Home",h,"ms; World",w,"ms")

Renderer

See which graphics API you are running.

See your graphics API choices

Prints the graphics APIs your game can use, then which one is running right now and which one gxapi is asking for (they can differ until you restart). Stick with Auto unless you are chasing a real rendering problem, and only pick names the game listed.

2 lines. Type them one at a time in chat, or paste all into a temporary macro and click it once.
/run print("Available:",GetGraphicsAPIs())
/run print("Current:",GetCurrentGraphicsAPI(),"Requested:",C_CVar.GetCVar("gxapi"))

Readability and accessibility

Cooldown numbers, nameplates, a bigger cursor and less screen shake.

Turn on helpful numbers in the default UI

Turns on cooldown countdown numbers, a target-of-target frame, and health and mana text shown as both numbers and percentages (statusText and statusTextDisplay work as a pair). Pure readability, no FPS change; addon frames may do their own thing.

4 lines. Type them one at a time in chat, or paste all into a temporary macro and click it once.
/console countdownForCooldowns 1
/console showTargetOfTarget 1
/console statusText 1
/console statusTextDisplay BOTH

Optional enemy nameplates

Shows enemy nameplates, and shows them all the time rather than only in combat. Handy for picking out mobs; not an FPS trick.

2 lines. Type them one at a time in chat, or paste all into a temporary macro and click it once.
/console nameplateShowEnemies 1
/console nameplateShowAll 1

A bigger cursor (64x64)

Sets cursorSizePreferred 2, which asks for a 64x64 cursor that is easier to find over a wall of party frames. The other sizes are -1 Default, 0 32x32, 1 48x48, 3 96x96 and 4 128x128; pick one you can find without it covering the thing you want to click.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console cursorSizePreferred 2

Reduce camera and UI shake

Turns camera and UI shake down to a quarter strength (0.25 for both). A comfort setting, not a performance one; put both values back to undo.

2 lines. Type them one at a time in chat, or paste all into a temporary macro and click it once.
/console ShakeStrengthCamera 0.25
/console ShakeStrengthUI 0.25

Disable camera and UI shake

Turns camera and UI shake off completely (0 for both). Other effects that bother you may still be there; the Motion Sickness checkbox in Accessibility handles two more camera settings as a pair.

2 lines. Type them one at a time in chat, or paste all into a temporary macro and click it once.
/console ShakeStrengthCamera 0
/console ShakeStrengthUI 0

Use Alternate Screen Effects

Sets overrideScreenFlash 1, the same as ticking Alternate Screen Effects in Accessibility, which tones down screen flashes. It will not remove every uncomfortable effect, but it is the right first switch if flashes bother you.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/console overrideScreenFlash 1

Measure

A one-off reading, not a benchmark. Compare in the same place.

Check your FPS right now

Prints your frame rate right now as a whole number. It is a single snapshot, not an average, so read it in the same spot before and after a change.

Type or paste into chat and press Enter.
/run print("FPS",math.floor(GetFramerate()+0.5))

Commands come from the original guide and were checked against the Forever client's settings code. No frame-rate gain is promised. If the game blocks /run, use the Settings menus instead.

Launch-day recheck

On November 4, test the live spellbook and these beta assumptions before Dad Bods builds habits around them. Level-60 gear and raid advice stays provisional until the content can be tested.
